Terms of Use
Effective November 4, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to everything on beynensonlaw.com: the case-law pages, No-Fault Search, the No-Fault AI assistant, the no-fault regulation pages, the arbitration data pages and the rest of the site (together, the “site”). The site is operated by The Beynenson Law Group, PC and The Beynenson Law Firm, PC (together, “we”, “us”). The Beynenson Law Firm, PC continues to handle matters for some existing clients while its practice moves to The Beynenson Law Group, PC. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
How we handle information about visitors is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: we do not sell, rent, trade or share your information with third parties for their own use. A small number of service providers, named in the Privacy Policy, process it only so that the site’s features work.
1. No legal advice, no attorney-client relationship
The site provides general information about New York no-fault law. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer about your situation. Using the site, including running a search, asking the No-Fault AI assistant a question, reading a decision or regulation page, or sending us a message through a contact form, does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship with us exists only after we have expressly agreed to represent you in writing.
Laws and their interpretation change. Do not act or refrain from acting on anything on the site without checking the official sources and the current law, and without advice from a lawyer where it matters.
2. Do not enter confidential information
Do not type confidential or privileged information, or details that identify a client, patient, claimant or claim, into the search box, the No-Fault AI assistant or a contact form. Plain-language searches and AI conversations are processed by an outside service (see the Privacy Policy), and a message sent before an attorney-client relationship exists may not be treated as confidential.
3. No guarantee of accuracy or completeness
We work to keep the site accurate, but we make no guarantee, and give no warranty, that any of the following is accurate, complete or current:
- the text of the regulations, including whether it reflects every amendment;
- the case law, including the text of a decision as it appears here, its court, date and citation, and whether a decision is on the site at all;
- arbitration award data, including award results, amounts, dates, arbitrator, insurer, provider and attorney information;
- aggregations, statistics, reports, charts, rankings and scorecards built from that data;
- the completeness of any collection or data set on the site: decisions, awards and other records may be missing, duplicated, delayed or wrongly matched;
- headnotes, summaries, issue and outcome labels, digests, recaps, topic pages, citation and treatment information and other editorial content;
- photographs and descriptions of people.
Always check the official source (the court’s decision, the official text of the regulation, the arbitration award itself) before relying on anything on the site.
4. Use of artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence tools may have been used to create, summarize, classify or organize some of the content on the site, including headnotes, labels, digests, recaps, topic pages, citation and treatment information, and the answers of the No-Fault AI assistant. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions or statements a source does not support. We check AI-assisted content, often by sampling, but not every item is individually reviewed by an attorney.
5. Case law and coverage
The case-law database contains decisions published on the New York State Unified Court System’s website (nycourts.gov) that we have selected and imported, usually once a month. It is not a complete collection of no-fault decisions, and a recent decision may not appear yet. Decision texts are reproduced as published there; the official reports control.
6. Our summaries are not the court’s words
Headnotes, issue labels, “who prevailed” and posture labels, monthly digests, regulation recaps and topic pages are our own editorial summaries. They can be incomplete or wrong (see sections 3 and 4). They are not part of the decision and should not be quoted as if they were. The decision itself is the authority; quote only from the decision.
7. Citation lists and research tools are automated
“Cited in this decision”, “Cited by”, “Similar decisions”, treatment notes, authority maps and search rankings are produced automatically and may miss, misattribute or mislabel the relationship between decisions. Nothing on the site states whether a decision is binding authority in a particular court, and none of these features replaces a citator such as Shepard’s or KeyCite. Check how later decisions treated a case before relying on it.
8. Regulations
The text of 11 NYCRR Part 65 on the site is an unofficial copy, taken from the full text published by the New York State Department of Financial Services, with later amendments tracked separately. It may not reflect every amendment. The official text published by the State controls.
9. Arbitration data
Arbitration statistics, award searches, charts and reports on the site are compiled from public sources and processed automatically. They may be incomplete, delayed or wrong (see section 3), and they do not predict the outcome of any matter.
10. No-Fault AI assistant
The No-Fault AI assistant generates answers with an AI language model from decisions in our database. Its answers can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, can misdescribe a holding, and can cite a decision for something it does not say. Read the decisions it cites before relying on any answer. Use of the assistant may be limited (for example, a number of questions per day).
11. Acceptable use
You may use the site for your own research and practice.
Search engines and AI services are welcome. Their crawlers may crawl and index the public pages, as our robots.txt file allows, and the companies that run them may use those pages to train artificial-intelligence models and to answer their users’ questions. We ask that an answer drawn from the site link to the page it used.
You may not:
- copy, scrape, crawl or download the site’s content or data in bulk, other than as the paragraph above allows;
- send searches or questions in bulk with automated tools, or get around rate limits, usage limits or access restrictions (search and the AI assistant are limited per visitor and site-wide);
- use the site to build a competing database;
- interfere with the site, its security or other visitors’ use of it, or try to gain access to parts of it that are not public;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
We may block access by anyone who does not follow these terms.
12. Content and ownership
Court decisions and the text of the regulations are public records. Our own material (headnotes and summaries, issue, outcome and treatment labels, monthly digests, regulation recaps, topic pages, authority maps and timelines, charts, data compilations, the arrangement of the site and its software) belongs to us.
Use with attribution. You may use, quote, copy and share individual items of our material, such as a headnote, a digest, a recap or a map, including in briefs, memoranda, articles, presentations and other publications, on these conditions:
- Credit Beynenson Law as the source and, where the medium allows, link to the page the material comes from (for example: “Source: Beynenson Law, beynensonlaw.com”).
- Quote accurately. If you shorten or change our text, say so, and do not attribute the changed text to us.
- Do not present our material as the court’s words or as an official source, and do not remove or alter a notice that a summary or label is ours.
- The credit identifies the source only. It does not mean that we endorse you, your work or any product, and you may not use our name or logo beyond the credit line.
This permission covers individual items and excerpts. It does not cover copying a whole page, topic or list, or a substantial part of any collection; the bulk copying or scraping that section 11 prohibits; or the site’s design and software. Crawling and use by search engines and AI services are covered by section 11. We may withdraw it from anyone who does not follow these terms.
13. Third-party links and services
The site links to other websites, such as nycourts.gov, and uses outside services described in the Privacy Policy. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
14. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, including search, the AI assistant and the data pages, at any time and without notice. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version posted here applies from then on.
15. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Beynenson Law Group, PC, The Beynenson Law Firm, PC and their attorneys and staff are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or anything on it, including any reliance on a decision, regulation text, search result, summary, label, AI answer, data, chart or report.
16. Attorney advertising
This website is attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Photographs on the site may include stock images and people who are not attorneys of the firm.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms is to be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms: contact@beynensonlaw.com, or through our contact page.
